Mr Green Sports is owned by holding company, the Mr Green Group. Although that company is registered in Malta (more on this later) Mr Green Sports very much remains a Swedish business having been founded by three Swedish entrepreneurs – Henrik Bergquist, Fredrik Sidfalk and Mikael Pawlo.
Bergquist and Sidfalk picked up a lot of knowledge of the industry whilst working together at a different betting company but they needed Pawlo’s specific expertise to create a company which would go on to become one of the best online sportsbooks in the world.
Mr Green Sports, the betting arm of Mr Green, was only launched in 2016. The fact that they relaunched the sportsbook a little over a year after launching it suggests that it was something of a work in progress at first but the work has paid off as Mr Green Sports can now compete with the biggest names in betting.

Interface and Appearance
The new Mr Green Sports site is based on software by the Kambi Group. Several other bookies use this software for their sites so Mr Green Sports will feel familiar if you’ve ever used Unibet, 888Sport or 32Red Sports.
The Kambi software provides stable, reliable and fast websites but it also allows individual bookies plenty of room for customisation. Mr Green Sports have certainly made their site feel very much like their own with the green, white colours associated with the brand. The contrast of white text on dark grey menu bars with the green and black used on the white background of the main site really makes the site look great.
Other nice touches include little icons to illustrate key links, the graphics used for the headers of popular events and the helpful pre-match and in-play statistics for many events.
Betting Markets and Odds

Cash Out
At the time of writing, Mr Green Sports are still working on their cash-out product. It’s a shame that customers are currently unable to use the control of their betting that cash out provides but it is apparently on the way.
Licence, Security and Customer Service
We mentioned above that the Mr Green Group is registered in Malta. That, in turn, means that Mr Green Sports are licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority to operate as an online sportsbook and casino. For Irish customers, the Mr Green Sports sportsbook operates under a licence from the Office of the Revenue Commissioners.
